Lowering the Cost of Living in Colorado

Colorado also ranks as the 17th most expensive state to live in.
Median monthly mortgage in Colorado is over $2,300.
Colorado ranks as the 5th most expensive state for childcare costs.
Home insurance premiums have risen 100.8% since 2020.
Car insurance premiums have risen between 50-70% in the last decade.
Health insurance premiums have risen over 60% since 2018 in Colorado.
Reward private companies and counties that build 10% more houses than their previous year. These rewards should be dependent on the community the home was built on but it should be no less than $6,000 and no more than $10,000 tax free.
Lease surplus land to residential developers.
Establish minimum performance standards for permitting times. Single family homes should take no longer than 30 days.
Subsidize timber and construction materials production.
Require votes to improve HOA fees by members of the community.
Require HOAs to return excess fees to community members while being able to retain 20% in savings and revise fees for the following fiscal year.
Require home insurers to provide mitigation discounts.
Expand legal housing types to include smaller starter homes.
Strengthen oversight of fraudulent auto insurance claims.
