Housing Affordability Committee
The Project2030 Housing Affordability Committee works to address the interconnected pressures making stable homeownership and housing increasingly difficult for Colorado families. Housing affordability extends beyond the purchase price of a home—insurance premiums, HOA fees, utility costs, housing availability, property conditions, and access to assistance programs can all influence whether families can afford to remain in their communities.
Through research, policy development, community partnerships, and the Colorado Homes Initiative, the committee works to connect Coloradans with housing assistance, support the development of workforce and starter housing, reduce avoidable homeownership costs, advocate for responsible HOA reform, and coordinate home mitigation and modernization efforts.
By addressing both the cost and availability of housing, our goal is to help create more attainable homes, financially secure families, and stronger Colorado communities.
Meet the Senior Advisor
Megan Bello
Megan is a sixth-generation San Luis Valley native, Real Estate Brokerage owner, and Managing Broker who has turned her lifelong passion for real estate into a career centered on serving clients, developing agents, and strengthening her community. As a Managing Broker, she works to ensure her clients’ needs and goals are met or exceeded while also helping real estate professionals develop their skills, grow their careers, and achieve their own professional ambitions.
Her approach to real estate emphasizes transparency, professionalism, organization, and personal service, combining modern technology with years of connection to the communities of the San Luis Valley. Megan is passionate about using her experience and leadership to help both clients and agents reach their highest potential through real estate. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her family and her two dogs and cat.
